Mission

The New Mexico Trade Alliance is a 501(c)(6) economic development nonprofit with a mission to grow New Mexico's global connectivity
For over a decade, the NMTA has served as the state’s premiere trade organization providing export assistance to New Mexico companies, facilitating foreign company soft-landing, and advancing diplomatic relations.
The NMTA is funded by the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, State of New Mexico, and the Air Force Research Lab.
History

2013
The NMTA began as an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County to provide export assistance to companies in the Albuquerque Metro Area.
2016
The organization incorporated as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit
2019
NMTA became the Air Force Research Lab's economic development partner for New Mexico
2021
New Mexico Trade Alliance was contracted by the State of New Mexico Economic Development Department to manage the SBA funded NM State Trade Expansion Program Grant and expand assistance to all companies in New Mexico
